Dr.Cyr is a 1986 Graduate of The New England College of Optometry in Boston. He has practiced in Vermont the past 28 years. He is origianlly from northern Maine and did his pre-med studies at U or Maine, Orono. He is married to his wife of 27 years, Abbie, and is the proud father of 3 adult children. He is a member of the American and Vermont Optometric Associations.
Dr. Cyr's practice interests include general optometry, contact lenses, age-related vision changes (and there are many!), as well as children's vision. He is comfortable with and adept at management of many eye pathologies, including (but not limited to) glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, etc.
Dr. Cyr is licensed to perform minor surgical techiques and to prescribe medications for the treatment of many eye diseases, as needed. If he encounters an eye issue that is beyond his scope of practice, he knows just which specialist to refer you to.
Dr. Cyr particularly enjoys helping his patients detemine what type of vision correction options would work best in their individual work and home environments.
Nora is a Vermont licensed optician who joined our practice in the winter of 2012 and has been a great addition to our team. In fact, Nora was recently promoted to being our practice manager! As our primary optician, Nora will professionally (and of course fashionably) help you pick out the best eyewear for you and she'll make certain you are comfortable wearing it.
Nora has extensive knowlegde of optics and lens design and she and Dr. Cyr work well together to determine what lens design and options will work best for you and your prescription needs! She is also our resident Maui Jim sunglass expert!
In Nora's free time(you'll find out if you talk to her for more than 5 minuites) she rides her horse Steel and enjoys cowgirling around Chittenden County and further. She loves her horse and her German Shepard Lucas and spends a bunch of her free time with them.
Terri has been in the optical field for over 30 years and is a graduate of Lakeshore Technical College in Wisconsin, she has also been certified by the American Board of Opticianry since 1983. Terri joined us last fall from Eye Care of Vermont and we are extremely pleased to have her with our practice.
Terri is a wonderful optician who has great fashion sense and is ready to help style you into the new you! In addition to frame styling Terri has years of optical experience which enables her to answer your questions as well as adjust your glasses perfectly.
Personally, Terri enjoys gardening, hiking and snowshoeing in her charming home of Vermont. She and her husband also have two beautiful grown children
whom they love to visit.
Terrill is a Vermont licensed optician as well as a CPO-Certified Paraoptometric. To earn her opticians license she attended Community College of Vermont and has an Associates degree in opticianry, she has also passed the American Board of Opticianry exam. Previous to that schooling she graduated with a degree in Psychology from The University of Vermont.
In addition to her experience in the field of Optometry and opticianry, Terrill has personal experience with Eye surgeries, most recently a very successful Lasik surgery with Dr. Julie Larson. Terrill is happy to share any experiences with our patients of her procedures.
On a personal note, Terrill loves to travel(big fan of the Caribbean), loves to ski, sings and also enjoys spending time with her rescue pup named Daisy.
Kristen moved to the area 2 years ago from her home state of New Hampshire and is enjoying exploring the wonderful state of Vermont. Kristen is also new to working in the optical industry, she has caught on to the business beautifully since her arrival in the summer of 2016 and we are very happy to have her here!
In Kristens free time she enjoys hiking, spending time with friends on Church Street and cuddling with her step pup Boomer. During vacation time Kristen loves to travel and explore our country and has already visited quite a few states in her travels
